Fancy a Permanent Relocation to Mars?

It's no longer news that the Dutch organisation Mars One is planning to cart off four humans to Mars in 2022 in an ambitious experiment to ultimately build a colony of 80,000 humans on the red planet.

Since the launch of the company's astronaut selection programme, thousands of people from 100 countries have indicated their interest to be part of the expedition, even though there are no guarantees that they can return to planet Earth.

Before humans make the proposed trip, there will be a series of robotic missions to find the perfect location and to ensure conditions are suitable for human survival.

So, if you fancy a bit of adventure, hurry while 'stocks last'. It could be your passport to an undiscovered world of fantasy!

  1. Lord have mercy! Ah, sorry, but no thanks. I gracefully decline. I love adventure, but not "this kind." Lol!

  2. Hahahaha! I know, Relentless builder. Whatever is going on in the minds of those scrambling to take up the offer. I want my feet firmly planted on planet Earth. Thanks for your comment.

  3. Me thinks this is a one way ticket to disaster. The physical obstacles stacked against them are monumental:atmospherics, the harsh environment, space hazards, solar winds, radiation, coronal mass ejections from the sun etc etc.And I dont think the solutions to these can be found and perfected before 2022.But as ever, there is a full stock of ready human fodder, willing to risk their lives for adventure's sake...Or maybe I am just a tad risk averse!

  4. Hehehehe, Will. Hilarious comment. I don't see it taking off either. Just an exercise in futility. Thanks for your comment.
