I enjoyed it. In...Thanks for this last post Oluchi. I enjoyed it. Interestiing that the Patron saint of Paris (St Genevieve) was a female! It just goes to show that good works are appreciated in every age, place and generation. I see the Pantheon as a confirmation of that, as the French have gone to vast expense and time to preserve the corpses/history of their heros. <br />I suppose an experience like you had helps answer the question of whether such expense is a justifiable investment? Without such effort by historians in the past, those of us in this present generation wouldn't have such beautiful paintings and architecture to look at. So apart from asking myself what contributions that I am making for posterity, I think I need to take care in preserving a part of today's history (whether in pictures or sculptures) for tomorrow's generation to look at.
